The balls of fluff or loose fibers found on the carpet or in the vacuum cleaner are normal and result from fibers left during the manufacturing process. Removing these fibers doesn't impact carpet life or appearance, and they're too large to become airborne or inhaled. With proper vacuuming, shedding typically diminishes within the first year after installation although wool will always shed. Note that for wool carpets, it's essential to use a suction only vacuum.

Simply snip the longer tufts to even out the carpet surface. Never yank out long or loose ends, as this can permanently damage your carpet. If a tuft becomes snagged or loose, cut it off and let the surrounding yarn fill in the space.

Heavy foot traffic or furniture weight can compress carpet pile, leading to indentations. Rotating furniture can help reduce this issue. You can also work the pile back into place using the edge of a coin or gently pass a hot steam iron over the spot, maintaining at least a four-inch distance from the carpet. Frequent vacuuming will also help minimize compression.

Selecting the right vacuum depends on factors like carpet type, pile height, and personal preferences. For wool carpets, use a suction only vacuum without a beater bar to prevent snagging. For plush carpets, ensure the vacuum has adjustable height settings. Consider features like suction power, filtration system, and attachments for versatile cleaning. Additionally, check manufacturer recommendations and warranties to find a vacuum suitable for your specific carpet and cleaning needs. You can find more information on specific product pages or by reaching out to our team.

Yes, there are services available that can apply a post-installation stain treatment to wool, tencel, or viscose carpets. This treatment allows spills to bead up on the surface, making the carpet easier to clean than it would otherwise be. However, it's important to note that these applications cannot make the carpet completely stain-proof and will periodically need to be re-applied. If you're interested, we're happy to refer you to a company that provides this service.

Explore our comprehensive stain removal guide for expert tips on tackling common stains effectively.

Stain treatment, vacuum, and maintenance recommendations can be found in the care instructions on this page. It is important to note that care instructions differ by carpet fiber type.

The lifespan of carpet differs by material type and care. Typically, synthetic carpet lasts 7-10 years, while wool can have a much longer lifespan with proper care.

Light reflects differently as the pile is pushed in various directions, often caused by foot traffic. Vacuuming the carpet uniformly can help alleviate this issue.

Carpet fibers have become softer over time, similar to high-count sheets, which can make foot traffic more visible even with looped carpets. To reduce footprint visibility, we recommend choosing a tightly constructed carpet like a flat weave or a wool loop. Contact us for more information!

In low humidity conditions, static charge can build up in your carpet. To address this, consider using a humidifier or other commercially available products designed to reduce static.

If the width of your room is wider than the width of the carpet roll, your carpet will require a seam. Most carpets are 12' wide but there are many 13'2" and 15' options as well. Seaming happens during installation, so please contact us for more details.

Wool is our favorite fiber at Home Carpet One! Wool carpets are highly durable, naturally stain-resistant, and eco-friendly. They do shed more than any other carpet as they are derived from sheep hair.

Wool blends are comprised of wool along with another material like nylon, sisal or polyester, combining the benefits of wool with other fibers. Wool is blended with other fibers to acheive a certain look or reduce costs. Most blends will not be more durable than an all wool option.

Synthetic fibers like nylon and polyester tend to be stain-resistant and easy to clean, making synthetic carpet a great option for busy households or those with pets.

Indoor/outdoor carpets withstand fading, stains, and moisture, making them an ideal choice for indoor and outdoor areas. Because of these properties, indoor/outdoor carpets might not be as soft or warm as wool carpet or synthetic carpet.

Sisal and jute carpets are eco-friendly as they are made of natural materials and add a natural texture to any space. As a result of that, they can be rougher underfoot and more susceptible to moisture damage and staining.

If the carpet you purchased from Home Carpet One carries the Beautiful Guarantee, then you have between 30 and 120 days after installation (depending on if it carries the one diamond, two diamond or three diamond warranty) to select a different carpet of equal or lesser value if you're unsatisfied with how the carpet looks. There are no additional costs for the replacement, except for furniture moving, custom labor (such as stair work), or if you select a more expensive carpet. However, the carpet must be installed before you can exercise this option. There are also satisfaction warranties that apply to many of our Karastan, Fabrica and Masland carpets. For more information, please contact us.

At Home Carpet One, many carpets come with comprehensive stain warranties. Make sure to discuss this before making a purchase. Wool carpets do not come with stain or wear warranties. If we are managing the installation, we'll send you a warranty and care guide post-install. If you don't receive one or want to review the information before installation, please contact us.

To maintain your wood floors, keep the relative humidity between 35% and 50% throughout the year. A built-in humidifier with a hydrostat in your cooling and heating system is ideal, but if not feasible, use portable humidifiers and a hygrometer to monitor humidity levels. Low humidity can lead to gapping, checking, and shrinkage of wood floors, while high humidity may cause expansion and buckling.

Maintain your home's temperature between 66 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. It's crucial to keep your heat running in the winter and your air conditioning running in the summer, especially when away, to prevent temperature swings that can harm your wood floors.

To care for hardwood floors effectively, avoid using water, wet mops, or steam cleaners, as they can damage the wood. Instead, regularly sweep or vacuum (using soft attachments and without a beater bar) to remove loose dirt and soil. For routine cleaning, consider using a hardwood floor cleaner with a Swiffer dry mop for optimal results.

To minimize scratches and indentations, use floor protectors under furniture feet and ensure any casters are barrel type wheels. When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging. Avoid wearing shoes with stiletto heels that can exert pressure and cause damage. Make sure there are no rocks stuck on the bottom of your shoes. Keep pet nails trimmed. Additionally, place dirt-trapping walk-off mats near exterior doors to prevent debris from scratching hardwood floors

Hardwood is a natural product and will react to environmental changes. Direct sunlight can affect color, so we recommend periodically moving area rugs and furniture and using window treatments. Exotic wood floors may undergo more dramatic color changes over time, but all wood floors can oxidize. With proper care, hardwood develops a warm, beautifully aged patina over the years.

Transitions for pre-finished wood are designed to coordinate, not match exactly. While some manufacturers like Mirage may offer closer matches, most transition pieces are made by external vendors and are not crafted from the exact same wood as your flooring.

We suggest ordering 10-15% extra hardwood flooring for a couple of reasons. First, cuts will need to be made during installation, resulting in waste, especially if your space isn't perfectly square. Additionally, given the variation in hardwood products, having extra allows you to discard boards you don't like, with an industry standard allowance for imperfect boards of about 5%. Lastly, having extra ensures that your project won't be delayed waiting for more wood due to tight measurements. If installing a floor on a diagonal, even more product may be needed.

Engineered hardwood offers stability, versatility and durability. Its layered construction makes it less susceptible to expansion and contraction due to temperature and humidity changes.Engineered hardwood can also be installed in various areas, including basements and over concrete subfloors.

Most likely, yes! Refinishing depends on the wear layer thickness, which is the top layer of real wood. Make sure to reach out to our team if you have questions on specific products.

While we don't offer trim pieces for purchase online right now, we would be happy to help you out. Contact us to purchase trim pieces.

We strongly recommend at least 10% overage to account for installation cuts and potential waste.

Replacing a single tile involves three key steps: removing the old tile, removing the grout, and ensuring the floor mortar is thoroughly removed before installing the replacement tile. Due to the critical nature of using the right technique and tools, it's best to leave this task to a professional installer.

Maintaining ceramic tile is similar to other surfaces. Wipe up spills promptly with water and a clean cloth, and regularly sweep or dust mop. Clean with manufacturer-recommended products and rinse with water. Avoid detergents, abrasive cleaners, or "mop and shine" products, and refrain from using a beater bar when vacuuming.

Sealing recommendations and maintenance recommendations can be found in the care instructions on this page or here. It is important to note that care instructions differ by tile type.

Natural stone tiles, such as Bianco Carrara and Thassos, are quarried from mountains and cut to size. Each tile's appearance is determined by nature, resulting in variation between tiles. To gauge variation, we recommend requesting to see a 2" x 2" mosaic sheet or a picture of available lots, especially with white stone, before you purchase.

Yes, porcelain tiles are rated on a scale from V1 (lowest variation) to V5 (highest variation). These variation levels are listed on our product pages. For any questions, please contact us.

With the exception of handmade tile, tiles and trim pieces aren't typically made from the same dye lot or even in the same facility. As a result, trim pieces coordinate with the tile rather than matching it exactly.

Ordering extra tile is essential because tile is prone to cracking or chipping during shipping and handling. Additionally, a significant percentage of tile is lost when cutting it. Some tiles may also be unusable due to variation or imperfections. Installers typically lay out the job beforehand to determine the best pieces to use. Ordering extra tile ensures you won't delay your project or risk receiving a different dye lot due to insufficient initial ordering.

Dropping fragile items like glass or dishes on a tile floor can cause them to break and it's possible that the tile will crack or chip, given that it's made from ceramic or porcelain. It's best to exercise caution and be mindful of this risk while still appreciating the beauty of your tile floor.

Natural stone, porcelain, ceramic, and recycled glass tiles each have unique characteristics. Natural stone tiles are quarried from the earth and offer a luxurious, one-of-a-kind look with variations in color and pattern. Porcelain tiles are dense, durable, and moisture-resistant, making them ideal for high-traffic and wet areas. Ceramic tiles are affordable, easy to maintain, and available in a wide range of colors and designs. Recycled glass tiles are eco-friendly, offer a unique aesthetic, and are suitable for various applications, including backsplashes and accent walls.

Yes! We understand the importance of seeing the exact dye lot before making a selection. For our stock stone tile, we have photos readily available. For special order natural stone, we're happy to work with our vendors to share photos of the specific dye lots for your chosen material. This allows you to see the variations in color, veining, and pattern that occur naturally in stone. Please reach out to our team before ordering if you would like dye lot photos.

We strongly recommend at least 10% overage to account for installation cuts and possible breakage.

Natural stone offers exceptional beauty and durability, but it requires sealing and regular maintenance to prevent staining.

Porcelain is highly durable, water resistant, and low maintenance, but can be more difficult to install than other tile types.

Ceramic tiles tend to be more affordable and easier to clean than other types of tile, but can be less durable and more likely to crack.

Recycled glass tile is eco-friendly and stain resistant, but can be more difficult to install then other tile types.

Use non-staining doormats on your vinyl floor to prevent dirt, sand, grit, and substances like asphalt from being tracked inside. Avoid rubber-backed, latex-backed, or coco fiber mats as they can stain or damage the surface.

Yes, it is possible. The ease of replacement depends on the installation method chosen for your vinyl. Floating vinyl can be replaced relatively easily, while glue-down planks can be more challenging to replace. One thing to note is that vinyl is sold by the carton so you will have to purchase a full carton to replace a single plank.

Vinyl flooring is generally resistant to fading and damage from sunlight. However, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause some types of vinyl flooring to fade or discolor over time. To minimize the risk of sun damage, consider using window treatments such as blinds or curtains to reduce UV exposure. Additionally, rotating furniture and area rugs regularly can help distribute sunlight more evenly across the floor. Contact us for advice prior to selection!

Yes! Vinyl is highly durable and an excellent choice for high-traffic areas or spaces prone to moisture, like bathrooms, kitchens, or laundry rooms. It withstands wear and tear well, as evidenced by its use in our Chicago showroom's high-traffic areas.

Yes, luxury vinyl tile (LVT) is an excellent solution for basements with water issues once the area is dried out. Locking or floating LVT is particularly popular for basements because it can be easily lifted, dried, and reinstalled if flooding or moisture occurs. Most vinyl products are waterproof, though they won't prevent water from getting underneath. For glue-down vinyl options, a calcium chloride moisture test and potentially a moisture seal on the concrete may be necessary to ensure proper installation and performance.

Yes, installing DRIcore® Subfloor is a great solution to make LVT feel warmer on a basement floor. DRIcore® is a patented moisture barrier that helps keep floors warm and dry by creating a new subfloor that allows air to flow underneath, forming a moisture barrier. This not only improves the comfort of LVT but also enhances its performance in basement environments. Additionally, you can install carpet over the DRIcore® for extra warmth and comfort.

Yes! Vinyl is a great choice for rental properties. Its durability and long life expectancy often exceed that of carpet, making it a cost-effective solution for rental properties. Products with a thicker core can even be installed directly over existing hardwood or tile, minimizing the telegraphing common with thinner vinyl products. This makes vinyl a practical and attractive flooring option for rental units. Please bear in mind that vinyl can scratch.

Resilient and vinyl flooring are the same ! These terms are used interchangeably to describe the same type of flooring, known for its durability, flexibility, and ease of maintenance.

Yes, vinyl can be installed on stairs. It is important to choose the right type of vinyl to ensure safety and durability. One downside is it is more difficult to install a runner over vinyl. Feel free to reach out to our team for questions and details on stair noses.

When broadloom carpet is manufactured, it is made on a roll and can have a memory to it. Especially with thinner materials, this can cause the ends to curl up when made into a rug. To help it lay flat, you can use double-stick tape on the edges or reverse roll the rug to help it relax. Please reach out to us with any concerns!

The best course of action is to lift the fiber and clip it at its source. Never pull on a snag, as this can worsen the damage. If you're unsure how to proceed, please send us a picture of the snag and we can recommend how to fix it.

We aim to provide rugs that meet your exact size requirements. However, due to the handcrafted and custom nature of our rugs, slight variations of 1-2 inches may occur. If you have specific size concerns, please contact our team for assistance.

Most of the time, yes! Custom rugs can be made in almost any size you need. While pre-made rugs are limited to factory-produced sizes, fabricating a rug from broadloom carpet is somewhat limited to the carpet's width, typically between 13'2" and 15' for most wool carpets. Handmade rugs are only limited by the size of the loom, allowing for a high degree of customization in size.

Handmade rugs typically have a lead time of three to six months. The process involves meticulous hand weaving on a loom, which is slow and deliberate. Additionally, once completed, the rug needs to be shipped overseas, adding another six to ten weeks to the timeline.

Patterns on our rugs are fixed in size and won't scale based on the rug's dimensions. Instead, larger rugs will display more repeats of the pattern at the same size. Need help? Reach out to our team for more details.

We are happy to help with that! We encourage you to sign up for a free design consultation with our team, visit us in-store, and order samples to understand how different options feel and look in your space.

The rugs we fabricate for shipment can be no wider than the width of the carpet so there will not be a seam. For example, if the carpet has a 15' width, then the widest the rug can be is 15'. Have specific concerns or preferences? Contact us to discuss your custom rug requirements!

All of our area rugs are custom sized to fit your specific space requirements. Our minimum size is 2 x 2. Our maximum size depends on the width of the carpet but is typically 15 x 25. Contact us for special requests.

We use our best-match serging to fabricate our area rugs. If you are interested in a different serging color or style, please contact us. We would be happy to help!

Though we try our best to accurately capture our products, there may be slight variations between the images you see and/or samples you receive. Every computer screen displays color differently and the dye lot may vary between the sample and product you receive.

The pattern direction on your rug will align with the length. Check out this article for a visual representation and feel free to contact us if you would like your rug to run a different direction.

Wool is our favorite fiber at Home Carpet One! Wool rugs are highly durable, naturally stain-resistant, and eco-friendly.

Synthetic fibers like nylon and polyester tend to be stain-resistant and easy to clean, making synthetic rugs a great option for busy households or those with pets.

Indoor/outdoor rugs withstand fading, stains, and moisture, making them an ideal choice for indoor and outdoor areas. Because of these properties, indoor/outdoor rugs might not be as soft or warm as wool rugs or synthetic rugs.

Sisal and jute rugs are eco-friendly as they are made of natural materials and add a natural texture to any space. As a result of that, they can be rougher underfoot and more susceptible to moisture damage and staining.

Stair runners typically last between 3 to 10 years, but lifespan varies based on material, foot traffic, and upkeep. Regular vacuuming can extend longevity.

Stair runners provide numerous benefits including safety, protection, noise reduction, style and comfort. Our customers often get stair runners so their aging pets can get up the stairs. For more details on these benefits, check out our article on stair runners here.

To prepare for carpet installation, pack small items, clear dresser tops, disconnect electronics, and remove items from closets and under beds. Move belongings to a non-carpeted room and strip your bed to minimize dust. Secure valuables and arrange for special items like artwork to be moved. Maintain room temperature between 65-80°F before and after installation. Ensure access to electrical outlets and proper airflow to reduce new carpet odors.

Yes, an adult should be present at the beginning of the installation to review installation details and ensure the selected carpet is correct. Please ensure pets are kept away from the work area. If you're getting a runner or custom rug installed, it's essential to be available to make any required decisions.

Installation usually begins between 8:30 and 10:00 am, though delays due to weather and traffic are possible. The duration varies depending on the job's complexity. For instance, a single bedroom installation can take a few hours, while projects over 500 square feet might require most of the day, especially if old carpet removal and furniture moving are involved. Please understand that achieving the best outcome may require patience as installation can be an art! Any job that has radiant heat or more than 750 sf of installation could spill into a second day depending on factors like furniture and removing old carpet.

Installers require space for cutting carpet and storing tools. Removing old carpet generates dust and the installation process involves noise and vibration akin to a minor construction project. It's not advisable to conceal cables or wires under the carpet.

Unfortunately not! Please arrange to fix this in advance with a contractor or handyman before scheduling your carpet installation.

Yes, like seams in other fabrics, carpet seams are visible. Low pile, flatweaves, and looped carpets typically have more visible seams, while plush and shaggy carpets conceal seams better. Discuss seam placement concerns before purchasing carpet, as it affects the carpet quantity and layout. Once installers arrive, the carpet is already cut, making layout changes nearly impossible. Take a look at our Installation Guide for a more detailed overview of seams.

Yes, you can opt for the Healthier Living Flooring Installation System. After removing the old carpet and before installing the new one, for a small fee, we vacuum the floor and apply an anti-microbial spray called Healthinex. This system also offers options for treating pet odors if needed. For optimal results, we recommend using either the rubber or memory foam pad, both of which are anti-microbial.

Great question! Carpet typically comes in standard widths ranging from 12' to 15', and it may be seamed together during installation. It's normal to have 15% to 20% waste due to factors like room dimensions and seam placement. Additionally, extra carpet may be needed to match patterns. If arranging your own installation, it's important to ask your installer about the required carpet amount before ordering and inform them of the pattern match dimensions. Feel free to contact us if you would like us to make the extra carpet into an area rug!

Consult with your painter on this decision! If you opt to paint first, coordinate with the painter to touch up baseboards and possibly wall spots after carpet installation. Carpet installation involves tools that may touch walls and baseboards, potentially causing scratches. Additionally, the carpet will touch the lower wall portion when cut, risking paint damage. Since paint typically takes thirty days to cure, it's more susceptible to damage during this period. Walls or baseboards with multiple layers of paint may chip or crack during installation, requiring touch-ups afterward.

Baseboards should be installed as close to the floor as possible to avoid gaps between the carpet and walls. Carpet typically goes up to the baseboards rather than underneath them, so it's essential to install baseboards before carpet installation. Keep in mind that most carpets are only 1/4 inch to 3/8 of an inch thick. If you had existing baseboards and your new carpet is thinner than the old one, you may need to repaint the baseboards after installation.

Before you purchase the material, make sure to inform your sales associate about the presence of a drain tile. Typically, installing carpet over such floors takes an extra day because the tack strip must be glued down rather than nailed. Ensure there's no paint on the floor perimeter for gluing the tack strip. If paint removal is needed, discuss it with your contractor to avoid delays and extra charges.

Before you purchase the material, make sure to inform your sales associate about the presence of radiant heat. You should choose a rubber or memory foam pad to facilitate efficient heat transfer through the carpet. Typically, installing carpet over such floors takes an extra day because the tack strip must be glued down rather than nailed. Ensure there's no paint on the floor perimeter for gluing the tack strip. If paint removal is needed, discuss it with your contractor to avoid delays and extra charges.

We don't recommend a post-installation stain treatment because it will void most warranties. It is unnecessary with synthetic carpets. It makes more sense if you purchase a sensitive fiber like tencel or viscose. Want to learn more? Contact us for advice!

One major benefit is that you can install it over a concrete slab without plywood or glue, making it cost-effective and compliant with noise abatement requirements in high-rise buildings. Floating wood floors, like Kahrs, often feature a locking mechanism for easy installation. Additionally, using a noise and moisture barrier between the concrete and the wood floor is common practice. These floors move as one unit, minimizing gapping between boards except in cases of extreme humidity or temperature swings. You will feel movement with any floating floor.

Movement or bounce in floating wood floors is common due to the nature of the installation. Because they are one unit installed over subfloors that are often not perfectly level, some give or bounce may be felt.

Hardwood installation is a minor construction project! Before hardwood installation, pack up loose items, protect dust-sensitive belongings, and secure your valuables. Ensure temperature and humidity levels are within accepted ranges. Acclimate the wood in your home for two to three days before installation. Obtain necessary approvals from building or condo management and reserve elevator time. Designate an area for the installer's tools and hardwood cutting. Consider relocating pets during installation for their safety. We may also recommend that you relocate depending on the scope of the project.

Yes! It's crucial to verify the product and review the installation scope with your installer, especially on the first morning. Minor decisions or obstacles may arise throughout installation, so make sure to leave your contact information or periodically check in with your installer.

We strongly recommend painting after hardwood installation for a few reasons. Dust from the installation process can affect paint quality and walls may sustain dings during installation. Additionally, any baseboard or quarter round installed will only be primed white, requiring a painter to finish them after installation.

Yes - it's quite likely that your quarter round and baseboards will suffer damage when removed during hardwood installation. At the very least, you'll need to repaint any salvageable trim.

In order to fix squeaky floors, you need to install new plywood. Merely installing new hardwood won't solve the issue on its own. Please contact us to learn more.

We recommend letting hardwood acclimate for 48-72 hours in the room where it will be installed. This allows the wood to adjust to local humidity and temperature.

Tile installation is a minor construction project! Make sure to pack up items in the installation area, secure valuables and breakables, and protect adjoining rooms from dust resulting from cutting and grouting. Designate an area for the tile installer with access to electricity and water for tool setup.

Whether you need to move out during tile installation depends on bathroom and kitchen access and your tolerance for dust. If work is being done on all your bathrooms, your kitchen, and/or if you prefer to avoid exposure to installation dust, moving out may be necessary.

Yes! It's crucial to verify the product and review the installation scope with your installer, especially on the first morning. Minor decisions or obstacles may arise throughout installation, so make sure to leave your contact information or periodically check in with your installer.

It differs based on the material of your tile! Glazed or unglazed ceramic tiles do not require sealing as they naturally resist water. However, during grouting, a temporary sealer may be applied by your installer to protect the tile, which is later removed. Natural stone tile and other tile types like crazed or crackle tiles will require sealing due to their porous nature.

Vinyl installation is a minor construction project! Before vinyl installation, pack up loose items, protect dust-sensitive belongings, and secure your valuables. Acclimate the vinyl in your home for one to two days before installation. Obtain necessary approvals from building or condo management and reserve elevator time. Designate an area for the installer's tools and hardwood cutting. Consider relocating pets during installation for their safety. We may also recommend that you relocate depending on the scope of the project.

Choosing the best vinyl installation option depends on your space and your needs! Floating/click-lock vinyl tends to be the most popular option as it is durable and easy to install. Glue-down vinyl can be great for commercial spaces or areas with heavy furniture. Reach out to us or chat with your installer to understand which option is best for you before making a selection.

Most vinyl floors have an attached pad already. Depending on the particular vinyl you select there may be an opportunity for an additional underlayment. You will, however, want to add a moisture barrier beneath any floating floor. We also offer a product that can raise the height of your floor by a 1/4". Contact us and we can help with that.

Yes, it’s important to check sound requirements before installing vinyl flooring in a condo or high-rise building. Many buildings have specific regulations to minimize noise between units. We recommend consulting your building management for these requirements and choosing an appropriate vinyl and underlayment to meet sound insulation standards. Need help? Contact us for advice on the best options for your space.

Vinyl flooring can be installed over various sub-floors, including concrete, wood, and tile, as long as the surface is clean, dry, and level. Please contact us or your installer before ordering for more information.

The difference is how the carpet is finished at the nose of each stair. In hollywood installs, the carpet wraps tightly around the edge of the nose, creating a finished look with no exposed edges, which hides the pad. In waterfall installs, the carpet drapes over the nose of the stair and appears to go straight down to the tread. Hollywood tends to be more aesthetically appealing from a design perspective, but it is more labor-intensive and costly.

It's up to you! In general, stair runners are positioned about 4 to 5 inches away from the wall to allow for proper alignment and to showcase the edges of the stairs. This distance can be adjusted based on your design preferences and the specifications of your staircase. Need help? Reach out for design or installation advice before ordering material.

Though our average customer pays between $10,000 and $25,000 for kitchen cabinetry, this cost is highly dependent on the size of the kitchen, number of cabinets needed, cabinet material, finish, and door style, cabinet brand, and cabinet accessories. To get a more accurate estimate for your project, we recommend scheduling a consultation with our experienced kitchen and bath designer.

Yes, we offer a variety of free-standing vanities and cabinets on legs to suit different styles and preferences. Reach out to our kitchen & bath designer to understand more about our options.

Definitely not! The amount of material you need depends on the size of your countertop and the type of material you choose. For smaller countertops, you may be able to use a partial slab or a remnant piece which tends to be more cost-effective. Some materials, like quartz, can be seamed together seamlessly, allowing for smaller pieces to be used. Others, like natural stone with unique veining, could require the purchase of a full slab. For more info, contact our Kitchen & Bath design team.

Absolutely! We can fabricate additional pieces such as backsplashes, shower benches, and more. Learn more by reaching out to our Kitchen & Bath design team.

Our process is designed to be friendly and clear at every step of the way. The first step is to schedule a consultation with our Kitchen & Bath design team to discuss your project, style preferences and budget. From there, our team will guide you through our collection of countertop materials including natural stone, quartz, solid surface, and more. We'll also share instructions on how to measure your space. After measurements and product selection, we will provide a detailed quote and timeline for fabrication and installation.

Cabinet installation is a minor construction project! Though we don't install cabinets, we are happy to share a few tips from our partners. Please reach out to your installer for more info. Before cabinet installation, pack up loose items, protect dust-sensitive belongings, and secure your valuables. Make sure to disconnect any plumbing, gas, or electrical lines if necessary. Obtain necessary approvals from building or condo management and reserve elevator time. Designate an area for the installer's tools and hardwood cutting.

Repurpose it: Pet beds, school projects, art projects... the possibilities here are endless.

Sell it: Every home needs rugs! Consider selling or giving your old rug to a family member, friend, or colleague. Often, individuals are looking for second-hand rugs on platforms like Facebook Marketplace and Nextdoor.

Recycle it: Some recycling centers accept old rugs, especially those made from natural materials like wool, jute, hemp, or sisal. Check with your local recycling center to see if they will accept your old rug.

Dispose of it: Exhausted all other options? You may need to dispose of it. Check with your local waste management company to see if they accept rugs or if they have specific instructions for how to dispose of them.
