As the popularity of hardwood floors has grown, so has the demand for fabricated and custom rugs. To get started just tell us the carpet you want and the size and we will walk through with you the options on finishing the rug, which include binding, serging, cotton borders, linen borders, leather borders and even other carpet borders. If you are fabricating a rug or a custom cut runner, there are several different ways to finish the edge of the carpet. Below you will find images to illustrate the differences between the basic types of finishes we offer.
1" border offered in leather or cotton
Comes in a variety of colors and offers a simple finished edge.



2" border offered in leather, cotton or polyester
Allows you the opportunity for a more sophisticated look. There are many other wide border finishes available in cotton, linen and other materials.



2" border with piping offered in leather, cotton or polyester
Adds a sophisticated look while adding another layer of detail; offering more decoration.



Cotton serging
Frequently selected and provides a more finished look.



Hand serging offered in cotton or polyester
Allows for a handmade look while still providing an elegant finish.



Hand rolled edge
Shows no discernable edging. Offering clean and simple lines.



Leather binding
These borders are a great option and perhaps the most durable of all rug finishes.



Polyester serging
Most frequently selected and provides a more finished look.
